There are two versions of the piece – a Long version (lasting 4¾ minutes) and a Short version, having a duration of 3 minutes. Both versions start with powerful chords – declaring ‘Hay-a-stan’ (Armenia). The Long version starts gently before bursting into a musical representation of the great symbols of Armenia – the two peaks of Mount Ararat. Punctuated notes climb and fall, twice, corresponding to the two shapes. From here on, both versions are the same.

A baritone (A₂ to E₄) voice proudly sings of the history of the nation. The tune is very powerful, melodic, and expressive. A female Alto (A₃ to E₅) encourages Armenia to move to a brighter future based on its ancient, proud past . Finally, both voices join in a call to overcome the tragic past and look forward to brighter days ahead.  The piece finishes strongly, with drums and cymbals.

Այս ստեղծագործությունն ունի երկու տարբերակ՝ երկար (4:45 րոպե տեւողողությամբ) եւ կարճ, որի  տեւողությունը 3 րոպե է: Երկու տարբերակն էլ սկսվում են հզոր ակկորդներից՝ ազդարարելով «Հա-յաս-տան»: Երկար տարբերակը այնուհետեւ մեղմորեն շարունակվում է՝ նախքան անցումը Հայաստանի մեծագույն խորհրդանիշների՝ Արարատ լեռան երկու գագաթների երաժշտական պատկերմանը: Շեշտադրումը երկու անգամ բարձրանում եւ իջնում է, ինչը համապատասխանում է Արարատ լեռան երկակի ձեւին: Այդ պահից երկու տարբերակները միանման են ընթանում. բարիտոնը (A₂ մինչեւ E₄)  երգում է երկրի պատմության մասին: Մեղեդին չափազանց հզոր է, մեղեդային եւ արտահայտիչ: Կանացի ալտ ձայնը (A3 մինչեւ E5) քաջալերում է Հայաստանին առաջ շարժվել դեպի պայծառ ապագա՝ հիմնված բազմադարյան հպարտ անցյալի վրա: Ստեղծագործության վերջում երկու ձայները միասին հորդորում են հաղթահարել տխուր անցյալը եվ առաջ նայել լուսավոր օրերի սպասումով: Ձոնն ավարտվում է հզոր՝ թմբուկների եւ ծնծղաների հարվածների ներքո:
